Off-Campus Experiences
The World is our Classroom
Extending learning beyond our school walls, students of every grade level engage in various educational field trips throughout their years at EDS. Students begin their off-campus adventures, such as visiting the local farm and zoo, as early as PreK4. Beginning in the 4th grade, classes experience out-of-town field trips, such as visiting the historic Florida State Capitol, the National Flight Academy and more.
In preparation for their years in Middle School, the 5th through 8th graders enjoy annual retreats, where exercises are centered on leadership skills and team building and bonding. With history at our fingertips, many downtown destinations serve as one-day walking field trips, such as the community garden, the Saenger Theater and the Pensacola Art Museum and Historic District.
